Health Center

The Health Center at Carrington Place offers a compassionate and dignified approach to skilled nursing care.  Truly a departure from the nursing home concept, the goal at Carrington Place is to  prepare residents for a successful return to their previous living arrangement.  From the moment of admission, competent and caring professionals from Nursing, Dietary,Activities, Social Services and Rehabilitation departments begin to assess each resident’s unique needs.  Our  team meets as a group and begins to formulate a plan of care – which may include assistance from other health care professionals, clergy, support organizations or family members.

Family members are then invited to attend personal conferences to discuss, change and modify the prescribed plan of care.  This approach has given our unique Health Center a formidable reputation of being a firstclass health care provider.  Our wellness philosophy encourages residents to live a full and balanced lifestyle.  A complete calendar of activities and social programs are offered for all resident lifestyles.  Qualified therapists and assistants inspire our residents to reach for and attain new levels of independence.

Carrington Place’s Health Center is licensed by the State of Virginia and participates in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs and third-party insurance programs.
